Development of Public Programs and policies
PPGSP acts as an important tool in the development of programs and public policies aimed at solving problems generated by the spread of violence, both in the Amazon region and in the rest of Brazil, through the production of knowledge about social, economic and political issues which are part of this phenomenon. The Program also contributes to the improvement of professionals who work as public security agents and the like, providing subsidies for them to carry out their functions in accordance with respect for human rights and the democratic state of law.
